Eric Sit is a Calgary-based entrepreneur whose career spans over three decades, bridging the worlds of technology, large-scale events, and hospitality. In the technology sector, Eric founded CyberWAVE Technologies in 1995, one of Calgary’s early internet service providers, which later evolved into a global custom software and IT solutions firm serving clients across multiple industries. He also served as Director & Chief Technology Officer at Detechtion Technologies, where he led advancements in software development, IT infrastructure, and data-driven decision-making for industrial clients. Eric is the founder of Epic Photo Ops, a leading provider of celebrity photography experiences for major pop culture events. Through Calgary Expo and other large-scale conventions across North America, his teams have photographed hundreds of thousands of fans with celebrities—managing high-volume digital workflows and delivering premium experiences under tight timelines. In hospitality, Eric is best known as the driving force behind OMO Teppan & Kitchen, Calgary’s premier teppanyaki and Wagyu dining destination. Blending his tech expertise with restaurant operations, he introduced innovations like the “OMOBOT” service robot to enhance efficiency and guest engagement. Under his leadership, OMO has become the top choice for birthdays, special occasions, and large group celebrations, earning multiple awards for its unique and immersive dining experience. Eric’s career is defined by his ability to merge technology, creativity, and hospitality—building ventures that delight customers, scale efficiently, and leave a lasting impact in their industries.
