Chef Johnathon Gould-Hawke brings over 20 years of culinary experience, shaped by a career that spans semi–fine dining, casual dining, and high-volume kitchens. He refined his skills at Newport Grill in Lake Bonavista, where he developed a strong foundation in semi–fine dining, and later spent seven years in the heart of Calgary’s downtown scene at District and Amsterdam Rhino/Rhino Smokehouse.
Johnathon has been part of the Red’s Diner family for 10 years, where his leadership, skill, and dedication to quality have made a lasting impact. His commitment was recognized last year when he was promoted to Corporate Executive Chef, overseeing the continued growth and culinary vision of Red’s Diner.

Beyond the kitchen, Johnathon is passionate about music and has a keen interest in computers and technology. These creative outlets fuel his curiosity and innovation, qualities that continue to influence his approach to the craft of cooking.
