Blair Lebsack

Driven by a passion for Alberta’s terroir, an abundance of local produce and some of the best agricultural land in the country, Chef Blair Lebsack made it a priority to cultivate relationships with farmers and farms long before the launch of RGE RD (pronounced “Range Road”) in 2013. Today at RGE RD, Chef Blair leads a kitchen and butchery team of 25 and continues to raise awareness of Alberta’s farming community through the restaurant and full-service butcher shop. RGE RD quickly caused a stir locally and nationally. His restaurant was recognized by EnRoute Magazine as ranking fourth of the ten “Best New Restaurants in Canada 2014” and was featured in Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants that same year. RGE RD continues to earn accolades year after year and is consistently highly ranked among the best restaurants in Edmonton by Edify Magazine. Blair’s work extends beyond the four walls of his kitchen and into the fields on range roads where farmers steward the land, grow vegetables and raise the livestock showcased on his menus. Today Blair is a leader in the industry through mentorship, education and advocacy. In 2024, Blair Lebsack served as the Hokanson Chef in Residence for the Culinary Arts program at NAIT, inspiring the future generations of chefs. Alberta Venture Magazine counted Blair among the Fifty Most Influential People of 2014. He was also named a Top Forty Foodie under Forty by Western Living Magazine and Top Forty under Forty by Edify Magazine.
